Michael Romanowski hails from Nashville, TN where his engineering career began in live sound, moving into studio recording and mixing.
The transition to mastering was a natural and successful one that originally brought him to California when he went to work for Rocket Lab in 1994. He remained there until Rocket Lab closed its doors allowing the owners to pursue other interests. Michael then went on to the new mastering room at The Plant in Sausalito where he worked for two years until re-uniting with Paul Stubblebine at his Hyde Street Studio.
Artists as diverse as Pete Ham/Badfinger, Suzanne Ciani, and Too $hort have benefited from Michael's musical and mastering expertise.
